I am currently a senior in high school and these past four years I have been very involved in Day of the Girl.
With the Rally Project, I want to give girls across the country the same opportunity I had to stand up for my rights and the rights of others. I want them to challenge themselves to lead, to take the risk and to find their confidence. I know that putting effort into an activist project is empowering. It has given me leadership skills, it has connected me to positive role models, it has changed the way I see my body and the way I relate to others, it has educated me and it has given me the stand I need to protect myself from a society that misrepresents and mistreats women.
